There is a natural 40-day rhythm to habits in the body and mind. It takes about 40 days of consistent practice to break a habit. It takes about 90 days to establish a new habit in action in the subconscious. It is good to take these biorhythms into account when designing your practice.

As humans, we are creatures of habit- we thrive on habits that run on autopilot.
But are habits just external behavior?
More often than we acknowledge, we form thought-based habits that we hold as narratives in our minds. Self- limiting beliefs are a collection of opinions of ourselves and our situations that we form based on life experience and past events, like a closet full of old clothes that don’t fit us anymore. They are the background narratives in our head. We repeat them sub-consciously so often that they are cemented in our minds, becoming a window through which we look, hear and judge everything.

In the 90days guidance program, we enter into a conscious cycle of replacing unwanted patterns of behavior (mental, emotional & lifestyle habits) with promoting ones to build a happier, healthier & meaningful life. The overall program structure includes,
  • 3 one-on-one consultation sessions (1 hour each) to guide client in the process of learning & negotiating changes. The consultation is guided by Karam Kriya
  • 3 one-on-one practical live sessions (1 hour each) that include kundalini yoga kriyas & meditation particularly addressing the subject client is working on
  • On their own client would commit to a sadhana (meditation, journaling and other promoting habits) tailored to their process daily to create the space for effective change
  • Weekly communication with the consultant for support & exchange (15mins each).
